Eine Wurzelbehandlung dient der Erhaltung eines Zahnes, dessen Pulpa irreversibel geschädigt ist. Häufige Indikation ist die Pulpitis, die meist Folge von Zahnfrakturen ist. Über ihre Diagnostik, das Vorgehen bei der Wurzelbehandlung und die Prognose informiert der folgende Artikel.
