Effects of homœopathic dilutions of China rubra on intradialytic symptomatology in patients treated with chronic haemodialysis

Abstract

The effect of the homœopathic medicine China rubra 9CH on symptoms reported by 35 patients with end stage renal failure on regular haemodialysis was investigated. The trial was double-blind, placebo-controlled with a run-in phase and crossover. Assessment was by a questionnaire of symptoms. Statistically significant improvements of asthenia, lethargy and headache were detected on active treatment compared to placebo. There was no significant change in nausea and vomiting.
