Narkosen mit Propofol werden gut vertragen und der Wirkstoff wird schneller abgebaut als eine Kombination aus Opioiden und Benzodiazepinen. Auch für ambulante Koloskopien ist Propofol ein beliebtes Sedativum/Anästhetikum. Welche Art der Sedierung für die Koloskopie-Patienten selbst angenehmer ist, wurde allerdings noch nicht systematisch untersucht. Das hat eine US-Arbeitsgruppe jetzt nachgeholt.
