Jae Jun Park et al. Impact of peritoneal carcinomatosis on clinical outcomes of patients receiving self-expandable metal stents for malignant colorectal obstruction
Clinical outcomes of palliative enteral stenting for malignant colorectal obstruction in peritoneal carcinomatosis have not been clearly established. In a retrospective analysis of 323 patients, those with vs. without carcinomatosis had inferior technical (84.7 % vs. 94.7 %) and clinical (73.2 % vs. 83.5 %) success rates, especially if carcinomatosis was severe.
