Bertrand Napoleon et al. Needle-based confocal laser endomicroscopy of pancreatic
cystic lesions: a prospective multicenter validation study in patients with definite
diagnosis
Using previously determined diagnostic criteria, needle-based confocal laser endomicroscopy
provided a conclusive diagnosis in 91 % of patients with pancreatic cystic lesions,
and was highly sensitive and specific in case of serous cystadenoma, cystic neuroendocrine
neoplasm, mucinous cyst, and premalignant cyst.
