Santi Kulpatcharapong et al. Diagnostic performance of different cholangioscopes in patients with biliary strictures: a systematic review
Systematic review involving 1141 patients showing that for the diagnosis of malignant biliary strictures, newer video cholangioscopes (digital single-operator cholangioscopes and direct peroral cholangioscopes) were superior to fiberoptic cholangioscopes, as they not only provide an image-based diagnosis but also allow cholangioscopy-guided biopsy.
