Frühe Kombinationstherapie bei Typ-2-Diabetes vorteilhaft

Bei einem neu diagnostizierten Typ-2-Diabetes empfehlen die Leitlinien neben Lebensstiländerung und Sport die Monotherapie mit Metformin. Die Arbeitsgruppe um Matthews meint, dass dies überdacht werden muss. In der VERIFY-Studie war die kombinierte Erstlinientherapie mit Metformin und dem DPP4-Inhibitor Vildagliptin effektiver.
