case-matched study
A total of 102 patients with symptomatic WON who underwent endoscopic ultrasound-guided
drainage with a new 20-mm LAMS (cases) were matched with 204 patients with 15-mm LAMS
(-controls). Both stents showed comparable clinical success and safety profiles, but
patients with 20-mm LAMS underwent fewer direct endoscopic necrosectomy sessions for
WON resolution, despite having larger WON collections.
