Art in Endoscopy: “Alien”
Two tubular adenomas were encountered very close to each other in the sigmoid colon. In order to perform endoscopic mucosal resection with both polyps being removed in just one piece, the submucosal layer was injected with indigo carmine. The two polyps resembled the eyes of an alien just peeking around the corner.
