Nichttyphoidale Salmonellen

Nichttyphoidale Salmonellen kommen weltweit vor. Es handelt sich um bewegliche gramnegative Stäbchen der Ordnung Enterobacterales (Enterobakterien), die eine Salmonellen-Enteritis, kurz: Salmonellose, hervorrufen können. Salmonellen sind die zweithäufigsten Erreger gastrointestinaler Infektionen nach Campylobacter jejuni innerhalb Deutschlands und der Europäischen Union (EU) [1]. Die höchsten Inzidenzen treten bei Kindern unter 5 Jahren auf. 2019 wurden in Deutschland 13 700 Erkrankungen pro Jahr gemäß Infektionsschutzgesetz (IfSG) an das RKI gemeldet, zum Teil treten größere Ausbrüche auf [2].
