Spontane Hornhautperforation bei Keratoconjuncitivis-vernalis-assoziierter Keratopathie eines jungen Patienten

Hintergrund

Die spontane Hornhautperforation ist eine seltene okuläre Komplikation bei systemischen Erkrankungen wie dem Sjögren-Syndrom, der rheumatoiden Arthritis, der Graft-versus-Host-Disease oder der okulären Rosazea [1], [2], [3], [4]. Selten tritt sie im Verlauf einer pelluziden marginalen Degeneration (PMD) [1], [3], [5], [6], einer atopischen Keratokonjunktivitis (AKC) [3], [7] oder einer Keratoconjunctivitis vernalis (VKC) auf. Häufig sind die Erkrankungen mit einem Keratokonus (KC) assoziiert [3]. Es sind wenige Fälle von spontanen Perforationen bei erwachsenen Patienten mit einer PMD, AKC oder KC in der Literatur beschrieben.

Dieser Fall beschreibt eine spontane Hornhautperforation bei einem jungen Patienten mit Keratoconjunctivitis vernalis. Diese schwere allergische Form tritt im Vergleich zur atopischen Keratokonjunktivitis vor allem bei männlichen Patienten im Alter von 3 bis 16 Jahren auf [8].
