Der selektive Nachweis von HLA-spezifischen B-Gedächtniszellen
The Selective Verification of HLA-Specific Memory B CellsZusammenfassung
Abstract
In transplantation diagnosis, the standard operating procedure is the quarterly screening of pre-existing anti-HLA antibodies in peripheral sera of patients from the waiting list. Yet, the existence of circulating peripheral antibodies that are secreted by bone marrow-residing plasma cells cannot be translated into reliable information on the memory B cell compartment. The exposure to a mismatched HLA antigen could always be a trigger for the activation of memory B cell immunity. The detection of HLA-specific memory B cells would allow elevating resilient data about the patient individual immune status.
