Zusammenfassung

Männer- und Frauenhaut sind unterschiedlich. Männerhaut ist dicker, hat mehr Talgdrüsen und Oberflächenlipide, eine höhere, nicht so divergente Keimzahl wie Frauen, niedrigere transepidermale Wasserverlust (TEWL)-Werte und einen niedrigeren pH-Wert. Die Wundheilung und das Niveau von Antioxidantien ist bei Frauenhaut besser. Männerhaut hat mehr Kollagen, altert an anderer Lokalisation, bei Männern finden sich mehr Falten an der Stirn, bei Frauen mehr Falten perioral. Studien sollten die Auswertung der Daten nach Geschlechtern mit beachten.

Abstract

Skin of men and women is different in its structure. Skin of men is thicker, more sebaceous glands und surface lipids are found. The skin flora shows more bacteria, but less divergence compared to women, a lower level of transepidermal water loss (TEWL) und lower pH levels. Wound healing and the level of anti-oxidants is better in women. The skin of men shows more collagen, ages in different locations with more skin folds on the forehead whereas women show more skin folds in the perioral location. Studies should focus on evaluation of the data according to sex as well.
