Kien Vu Trung et al. Endoscopic papillectomy for ampullary lesions in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis compared with sporadic lesions: a propensity score-matched cohort
Data on efficacy and safety of endoscopic papillectomy for ampullary lesions in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) are limited. In this propensity score-matched study, papillectomy was similarly effective and safe for both FAP-related and sporadic ampullary lesions (SALs). Indications for endoscopic resection of ampullary lesions for patients with SAL can therefore be extended to patients with FAP.
