Vocal Fry: Anzeichen einer Stimmstörung oder ganz normal?

Wenn von „Vocal Fry“ gesprochen wird, ist damit in der Regel ein hörbares „Knarren“ im Stimmklang gemeint. Dieses kann als Anzeichen einer Stimmstörung, aber auch als sprachliches oder sozial-kommunikatives Merkmal bei Stimmgesunden auftreten.

Fazit

Die Häufigkeit, Bedeutung und sozialen Auswirkungen von Vocal Fry bei Stimmgesunden sind im deutschsprachigen Raum nicht vollumfänglich beschrieben. Durchgängig hörbarer oder ungewollter Vocal Fry sollte als mögliches Anzeichen einer strukturellen, neurogenen oder funktionellen Stimmstörung abgeklärt werden.
