Die Darm-Lungen-Achse

Summary

Lunge und Darm sind phylogenetisch sowie über das Schleimhautimmunnetzwerk miteinander verbunden. Daher wird auch von der Darm-Lungen-Achse gesprochen. In der Verbindung von Lunge und Darm spielt offensichtlich die Darmmikrobiota eine wichtige Rolle, insbesondere beim Asthma und bei Infekten der Atemwege. Bei der Behandlung von Asthma und Atemwegsinfekten ist unterstützend die Berücksichtigung der Darmmikrobiota diagnostisch und therapeutisch hilfreich.
