Introduction

Technetium-99m methoxyisobutyl isonitrile (Tc-99m MIBI) is widely used in myocardial perfusion scintigraphy (MPS) and parathyroid scintigraphy (PS). Tc-99m MIBI is also known to accumulate in malignant tissues, particularly in breast cancer. Here, we present a male patient who underwent MPS imaging and was subsequently diagnosed with breast cancer thanks to focal radiotracer uptake observed in the breast region. Additionally, we briefly discuss male breast cancer in the context of this case. To the best of our knowledge, no prior cases of male breast cancer diagnosed through MPS have been reported in the literature.
