Lebensbedrohliche bradykarde Herzrhythmusstörungen sind im Kindesalter selten.
-
Supraventrikuläre Tachykardien sollten in der Akutphase am besten mit vagalen Manövern oder Adenosin behandelt werden.
-
Tachykardien mit breiten QRS-Komplexen stellen eine Indikation zur synchronisierten Kardioversion dar.
-
Jede akute Rhythmusstörung soll möglichst mittels EKG dokumentiert werden.

Eine strukturierte Anamneseerhebung und Weiterleitung des Patienten an einen pädiatrischen Rhythmologen oder Konsultation desselben sollte integraler Teil der Akutbehandlung sein.
