Makulopathien sind Erkrankungen und daraus resultierende Funktionseinschränkungen der Netzhautmitte (Makula). Den fortschreitenden Funktionsverlust durch chronische Veränderung von Gewebe in der Makula bezeichnet man als Makuladegeneration.
In diesem Artikel werden folgende Netzhauterkrankungen mit Befall des Netzhautzentrums bei jüngeren Menschen beschrieben:
Davon abzugrenzen ist die altersassoziierte Makuladegeneration (AMD) des älteren Menschen.
