Traumatisierungen in der Kindheit erhöhen nicht nur das Risiko für verschiedene psychische Störungen ([Roberts et al. 2004]), sondern auch das Risiko einer Reviktimisierung ([Arata 2002]), also einer erneuten Traumatisierung in einem späteren Lebensabschnitt. Durch bisher diskutierte Risikofaktoren für wiederholt erlebte sexuelle Gewalt konnten die zugrundeliegenden Mechanismen von Reviktimisierung jedoch nicht ausreichend erklärt werden. Zunehmend intensiv diskutiert werden in diesem Zusammenhang bindungsbezogene Aspekte, insbesondere bindungsbezogene Angst.
