Perioperative Komplikationen bei Erkrankungen des rheumatischen Formenkreises

Zusammenfassung

Komplikationen sind unerwünschte Folgen einer Therapie, die nicht im engeren Sinn zur behandelten Krankheit gehören. Sie führen meist zu einer Therapieanpassung oder -änderung. Mit dem richtigen peri- und präoperativen Management lassen sich Komplikationen vermeiden oder stark reduzieren. Bereits bei Diagnosesicherung einer rheumatischen Erkrankung müssen neben der medikamentösen Therapie auch Operationen und die im Zusammenhang stehenden Komplikationsmöglichkeiten bedacht und mit dem ­Patienten kommuniziert werden. Das Wissen um die Versorgung von Rheumatikern mit all ­ihren Facetten und Gefahren kommt letztlich auch Nicht-Rheumatikern zu gute.

Abstract

Complications are undesirable consequences of treatment that do not belong in the strict sense of the illness being treated. They usually lead to a therapy adjustment or modification. With the right peri- and pre-operative management, complications can be avoided or largely reduced. Even with the diagnosis of a rheumatic disease in addition to medical therapy and surgery the related possibilities of complications must be considered and communicated to the patient. The knowledge about the care of rheumatic core disease with all its facets and dangers comes ultimately to benefit non-rheumatic patients.
