Milde therapeutische Hypothermie nach kardiopulmonaler Reanimation

Bei der milden therapeutischen Hypothermie (MTH) wird die Körpertemperatur noch bewusstloser Patienten nach Wiederbelebung für 12–24 Stunden auf 32–34 °C gesenkt. Sie beruht auf erfolgreichen Strategien zur Stoffwechselbeeinflussung in der Tumormedizin bzw. Transplantationschirurgie. Ihr Einsatz wurde bereits 1964 von Peter Safar vorgeschlagen.
