Zusammenfassung
Myalgien der Kaumuskulatur sind die am häufigsten beklagten nicht-infektiösen Beschwerden in der orofazialen Region [29]. Zusammen mit den Arthralgien werden sie unter dem Begriff „Myoarthropathien“ (MAP) [42] zusammengefasst [41] . Etwa 75 Prozent der Patienten mit schmerzhafter MAP leiden unter Muskelschmerzen [30], [68]. Frauen sind − bevorzugt in der vierten Lebensdekade – wesentlich häufiger betroffen (bis zu viermal) als Männer [32].
