Erratum: The Use of Biologic Agents in Athletes with Knee Injuries

It has been brought to our attention that there was an error in the following sentence on page 380 of the above article published in the Journal of Knee Surgery, Volume 29, Number 5, 2016 (DOI: 10.1055/s-0036-1584194): “Accordingly, commercially available platelet concentration systems must be distinguished based on leukocyte-poor (buffy-coat based) and leukocyte-rich (plasma based) preparations (▶Table 1)” .

The correct sentence should actually be “Accordingly, commercially available platelet concentration systems must be distinguished based on leukocyte-rich (buffy-coat based) and leukocyte-poor (plasma based) preparations (▶Table 1)” because the buffy-coat based preparations are leukocyte-rich and plasma based preparations are leukocyte-poor as depicted in Fig. 1 of the article.
