Reviewers for The Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon

We would like to extend our most sincere thanks to the 172 reviewers listed below. All of them have voluntarily contributed to the quality of this journal by performing reviews upon invitation in the year 2016, both for ThCVS and ThCVS Reports. Their dedication is essential for keeping the high standards of our bilaterally blinded peer review process.

The individual burden ranged from one to 12 manuscripts including revised versions, with 4 reviewers performing ten or more reviews. 152 reviewed for the main journal only, 6 for the Reports only, 14 for both. We welcome 26 newcomers who were invited for the first time and accepted to collaborate. It is the declared aim of the Editor-in-Chief to distribute the workload upon as many shoulders as possible.

Our reviewers share most of the burdens but only few of the pleasures which editing a scientific journal implies. This modest “thank you” from the editorial staff and the publisher is meant to serve as an acknowledgement of your services. Moreover, Thieme Publishing Group has now partnered with “Publons” to facilitate official recognition and credit for contributions to peer review.
