The diagnostic clarification process of a cerebral visual impairment requires a comprehensive and specific neuropsychological assessment. In this context, preliminary assessments of other medical disciplines (i.e., pediatrics, ophthalmology, neurology) are essential to interpret the given test results reliably. Besides presenting neuropsychological diagnostic approaches, an overview of possible therapeutic interventions will be given. Also, the prognosis of affected children will be reflected. Furthermore, assistive technology facilitating everyday life will be reported.
