Summary

Bone cysts are classified as tumour like lesions of the bone and not as bone tumours. The diagnosis and the adequate treatment of these lesions remain a challenge. Osteologists have different diagnostic and therapeutic options in cases of solitary and aneurysmal bone cysts. In the present review the most common bone cysts, their diagnosis and treatment are described.
