It is with great pleasure to present to you Suprasellar Tumors (Part 2). The surgical management of these tumors can be challenging due to the intimate involvement with important critical structures such as the optic nerves and chiasm, internal carotid arteries, anterior communicating artery complex, pituitary gland, and stalk. Choice of surgical approach is often determined by the extent and location of the lesion, type of pathology treated, and surgeon's preference. In this issue of Skull Base: Operative Videos, we have compiled a library of video manuscripts demonstrating the armamentarium of skull base approaches for various suprasellar lesions such as craniopharyngiomas, meningiomas, Rathke's cleft cysts, and pituitary adenomas. Other videos demonstrate the surgical treatment of chordoid glioma of the third ventricle, cavernous malformation, and epidermoid cyst. Please visit our YouTube channel, Skull Base: Operative Videos, at www.thieme.com/skullbasevideos to view the complete collection of operative videos.
