Gross) › Author Affiliations Recommend Article Abstract Buy Article Summary By photometric and microscopic technics investigations have been carried out to determine the nature of the inhibition of platelet aggregation caused by incubating platelet rich EDTA-plasma at 37° C. The results clearly indicate that the inhibition must arise from alterations in the platelets themselves. The appearance of an inhibitory substance in plasma and the release of such a substance from the platelets into the plasma have been excluded.
