Zusammenfassung

Hyperbilirubinämie ist eine Erkrankung, die reife Neugeborene und Frühgeborene gleichermaßen betreffen kann. Zur Behandlung eignet sich besonders die Fototherapie, die allerdings Säugling und Eltern stark belastet. Die Pflege und Betreuung aller Betroffenen nimmt dabei viel Zeit in Anspruch, kann aber entscheidend dazu beitragen, dass diese Belastung möglichst gering gehalten wird.
