The year 2020 was difficult for all of us. The pandemic affected every facet of our personal and social life, and continues to pose challenges to the general public and the clinicians. The Journal of Clinical Interventional Radiology (JCIR) is thankful to all its authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and publishers for their continued contributions and support during this difficult time. The journal was able to sustain and progress despite the challenges and continued its mission of disseminating quality clinical information. In addition, the journal achieved the recognition of getting indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). This paved for an official recognition from the Medical Council of India in support of the publications in the journal for academic promotion. We are now in the process of applying for inclusion in other indexing agencies. We keenly look forward to your continued support and encourage authors to submit original research, systematic reviews and short communications addressing emerging trends and techniques in Interventional Radiology. Going forward, the journal would be more selective in publishing case reports and letters.
The editorial board wishes to take this opportunity to highlight top five original articles, reviews and articles on other categories in no specific order. The authors of these selected publications will receive a Certificate from the Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR) and Thieme publishers, India. We emphasize that all the publications in the journal are of high caliber and provide quality clinical information.
