The most important group of non-melanoma skin-cancers (NMSC) are epithelial tumors. Among them basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas are the most common types.
Therapy of choice is histological controlled excision. Micrographic controlled surgery is a skin sparing method providing histological tumor clearance. This is of particular importance in head and face area as well as at distal extremities.
3D-histology-controlled surgery shows the highest cure rate and lowest rate of recurrence compared to all other methods available.
