Myokard-Perfusions-SPECT mit Siemens IQ-SPECT
Myocardial Perfusion SPECT with Siemens IQ-SPECTPublication History

Abstract
The proprietary Siemens IQ-SPECT technology uses so-called smartzoom collimators with a special multifocal geometry. The patient’s heart needs to be centered in the central region, where a magnification of four times will occur. This results in a fourfold increase of sensitivity, which enables for a significant reduction of tracer activity and/or acquisition time. Clinical users need to be aware of typical attenuation phenomena which may be caused by the special collimators’ geometry. In the ideal case, IQ-SPECT should be used with CT-based attenuation correction.
