Reply to “Arthroscopic Treatment of Capitate Nonunion: A New Technique”

Isolated nonunion of the capitate is rare.[1] The treatment published was an open approach with capsulotomy. We published the case report using wrist arthroscopic management.[2] It is quite difficult to represent this technique in figures, so we offer here a detailed video to show how to facilitate access to the body of the capitate where the nonunion is located along with the intraoperative tricks ([Video 1]). An arthroscopic synovectomy was necessary in the distal midcarpal areas to allow the access of instruments into the nonunion. With this video, we hope to provide a better visualization of the surgical technique.
