colonoscopy with proximal retroflexion: a randomized back-to-back trial
The FUSE system (full-spectrum endoscopy) was compared with standard colonoscopy with
retroflexion in the proximal colon, in 215 patients in a randomized tandem trial.
FUSE achieved a lower miss rate overall (11 % vs. 34 %), in the proximal colon (14 %
vs. 42 %), and for advanced adenomas (4 % vs. 26 %).
