A 25-year-old male patient visited the outpatient department (OPD) for papular eruptions on the shaft of the penis for the past 2 months. The papules were small and pearly with a central depression. On examination, the lesion was diagnosed as molluscum contagiosum. Molluscum contagiosum is a benign superficial skin disease caused by the poxvirus. It is characterized by white pearly, small papules and a central depression whose core may be expressed, producing a white cheesy material. The lesions are usually painless, but may become inflamed, red, and swollen.[1] The lesions are contagious as the virus lives only in the superficial layer of the skin. Once the lesion disappears, it is not infective. Diagnosis is mainly clinical. In adults, it spreads by sexual contact, touching or scratching the lesion. Considering the symptoms as a vesicular eruption on the penis, craving for salt and fat, and offensive urination as the totality and basis of prescription, one dose Nitric acid [2] 1M was prescribed with placebo for 15 days on the first visit to the OPD. On the 18th day, on the first follow-up, there was mild decrease in the size of the papules, and one dose Nitric acid 1M was prescribed with placebo for 15 days. On the 33rd day, during the second follow-up, all the papules on the shaft of the penis were gone without remnant ([Figs. 1],[2]).
