Abstract
In order to carry out selective photodimerization reactions of 2-quinolone, its three inclusion complexes with host compounds were prepared and irradiated in the solid state. All molecular arrangements of 2-quinolone in these inclusion crystals are not adequate for the photodimerization and photoreactions did not occur.
