Leiomyosarkom der Vena cava inferior:
Kasuistik einer chirurgischen Rarität

Zusammenfassung.

Das intraluminale Leiomyosarkom der Vena cava inferior stellt eine äußerst seltene Tumorentität dar. Wir berichten über einen 31-jährigen Patienten, bei dem ein solcher Tumor im Bereich des mittleren Segmentes der Vena cava inferior diagnostiziert wurde. Es erfolgte eine vollständige Resektion des Tumors mit Rekonstruktion der Vene durch einen PTFE-Patch und Reinsertion der linken Nierenvene. Die Symptomatik wie auch Diagnostik, Behandlung und Prognose von Leiomyosarkomen der unteren Hohlvene werden diskutiert.

Leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava: Case report of a surgical rarity.

The intraluminal leiomyosarcmas of the inferior vena cava (IVC) are extremly rare. We report a 31 year old male, suffered an leiomysarcoma of the IVC middle segment, who was underwent a radical resection of the tumor with reconstruction of the IVC by PTFE-Patch and reinsertion of left renal vena. We discuss as well symptoms as diagnostic, treatment and prognosis of IVC leiomyosarcomas.
