15a All new compounds have spectral and analytical data in agreement with the indicated structures. 1-tert-Butyl-4-(phenylthio)benzene: ¹H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl₃): δ = 1.31 (s, 9 H), 7.15-7.35 (m, 9 H). ¹³C NMR (100 MHz, CDCl₃) : δ (attached H’s) = 31.3 (3), 34.6 (0), 126.3 (1), 126.6 (1), 129.1 (1), 130.3 (1), 131.5 (1), 131.6 (0), 136.7 (0), and 150.6 (0).
