Ph₃P/DDQ/NH₄SCN as a New and Neutral System for Direct Preparation of Diethyl α-Thiocyanatophosphonates from Diethyl α-Hydroxyphosphonates

Abstract

Diethyl α-thiocyanatophosphonates were prepared by the reaction of diethyl α-hydroxyphosphonates in good to high yields at room temperature by using triphenylphosphine, 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyanobenzquinone, and ammonium thiocyanate as a new and a neutral system.
