Zusammenfassung
Nach dem Zusammenbruch des „Eisernen Vorhangs” gab es eine Reihe von Bemühungen um Kontakte zu osteuropäischen psychiatrischen Einrichtungen. Beschrieben wird hier das gemeinsame Projekt des Bezirks Oberfranken, Bezirkskrankenhauses Bayreuth, mit dem Mental Health Care Center von Riga und dem Psychiatrischen Krankenhaus Riga, Lettland. Schwerpunkte dieser Zusammenarbeit bestanden in Fort- und Weiterbildung sowie in einem Hospitationsangebot für die verschiedenen im psychiatrischen Feld tätigen Berufsgruppen aus Riga, vorwiegend Ärzte, Psychologen und Pflegekräfte, im Bezirkskrankenhaus Bayreuth vor allem in den Themenbereichen Forensische Psychiatrie, tagesklinische und ambulante Behandlung sowie komplementäre Versorgungseinrichtungen und in „angewandter Psychotherapie” im Bereich der Depressions- sowie neuerdings der Anorexie-Behandlung. Die konkrete Arbeit umfasste neben Planung von Stationen und ergotherapeutischen Konzepten in Riga vor allem Fort- und Weiterbildung sowie gemeinsame psychiatrie-politische Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Aus dem anfänglich einseitigen Transfer von Fort- und Weiterbildung ist zwischenzeitlich ein freundschaftlich-kollegialer Austausch geworden.
Abstract
After the breakdown of the so called “Eiserner Vorhang”, there was a lot of efforts about contacts with eastern European psychiatric hospitals. We describe the project between the Bezirk Oberfranken (Upper Frankonia, Bavaria, Germany), State Mental Hospital Bayreuth, and the Mental Health Care Centre and Psychiatric Hospital of Riga, Latvija. Main topics of this cooperation were education in Psychiatry especially Forensic Psychiatry, day treatment and outpatient psychiatric therapy and psychotherapy especially of depression and anorexia. Other topics were concepts of specialized treatment units, ergotherapy and political activities to support the development of treatment structures in Latvija. Today after several years of cooperation this project has changed into a relationship like good colleagues.
