Abstract
The synthesis of three novel alkane disulfides with headgroups derived from vitamin B12 , 14a , 14b and 15 , is described. Self-assembled monolayers on gold are prepared from the symmetrical disulfide 15 , bearing two cobyrinate head groups. The coating of the gold surface is analyzed by TOF-SIMS and ESCA measurements.
