Beitrag zur operativen Versorgung von Frakturen im Bereich des Sehnervenkanals

Zusammenfassung

Bericht über 12 Revisionseingriffe auf transethmoidalem Wege an frakturierten Sehnervenkanälen bei 11 Patienten. Fünfmal blieb die präoperative Amaurose unverändert und viermal kam es zu einer Besserung der Sehkraft nach der Operation. In 3 Fällen wurde die operative Freilegung des Nervus opticus im Rahmen der primären Versorgung der Nasennebenhöhlen erforderlich. Der gute Visus wurde dabei in keinem Falle beeinträchtigt.

Summary

The authors report on 12 transethmoidal surgical interventions in 11 patients with fractured optic canals. In 5 cases preoperativ amaurosis could not be changed, while in 4 patients vision improved after the operation. Intraoperative exposure of the optic nerve was necessary three times during primary surgery for traumatic sinus affections. None of the patients suffered a deterioration in previously good vision as a result of the operation.
