Die Ganglioside oder Sphingolipide finden sich in hoher Konzentration im zentralen Nervensystem. Sie spielen eine gewisse Rolle in der Funktion der Synapsen. Versuche haben gezeigt, dass die Behandlung mit Gangliosiden die Regeneration der cholinergischen und adrenergischen Nervenfasern beträchtlich beeinflußt. Der Autor stellt seine ersten Resultate mit Cronassial bei der Behandlung von Neuropathien des Auges vor.

Summary

The gangliosides (or sphingolipids) are found in high concentrations in the central nervous system. They play a certain role in the functions of the synapses. Experiments have shown that treatment with gangliosides may influence the regeneration of cholinergic and adrenergic fibers. The authors present first results of treatment with gangliosides (Cronassial) in the treatment of various ocular neuropathies.
