Ziel der Arbeit
Angesichts der zeitlichen Schwankungen suizidaler Symptomatik sind Messinstrumente, die auf kurze Zeitintervalle bezogen sind, notwendig. Ziel der Studie ist die Validierung einer modifizierten Version der Skala Suizidalen Erlebens und Verhaltens (SSEV), die einen einwöchigen Erhebungszeitraum fokussiert (SSEV-7T).
Methodik
Die psychometrischen Eigenschaften der SSEV-7T wurden an einer Stichprobe von N=139 Patient:innen (41,7% weiblich; Alter in Jahren M=40,2, SD=15,8) untersucht. Die Befragung erfolgte innerhalb von sieben Tagen nach stationär-psychiatrischer Aufnahme.
Ergebnisse
Eine konfirmatorische Faktorenanalyse bestätigte die angenommene eindimensionale Struktur. Die interne Konsistenz war exzellent. Es zeigte sich ein positiver Zusammenhang zur Beck-Suizidgedanken Skala.
Schlussfolgerung
Die Befunde deuten auf die Eignung der SSEV-7T zur Erfassung akuten suizidalen Erlebens und Verhaltens hin.
Abstract
Objective
Due to fluctuations in suicidal symptoms over time, assessments covering brief periods are essential. This study aims to validate a modified version of the Suicidal Ideation and Behavior Scale (SIBS), focusing on a one-week survey period (SIBS-7d).
Method
The SIBS-7d was tested on N=139 patients (41.7% female; age in years M=40.2, SD=15.8) with regard to its psychometric properties. Participants were interviewed within seven days of inpatient admission.
Results
A confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the expected one-dimensional structure. The internal consistency was excellent. There was a positive correlation with the Beck Scale for Suicidal Ideation.
Conclusion
The findings indicate the suitability of the SIBS-7d for assessing acute suicidal ideation and behavior.
