Abstract
Knowledge of the mechanism of the tooth eruption process and the etiology of disorders is helpful in their differential diagnosis. Early identification of malformations during tooth development allows the initiation of individually tailored therapy strategies for the patient.
This article describes etiology, prevalence, severity and consequences, diagnostic measures, therapeutic approaches and interdisciplinary cooperation in tooth eruption disorders.
