Neuromuscular Ultrasound for Myeloid Sarcoma Affecting the Sciatic Nerve: A Case Report
Introduction
Sciatic mononeuropathy is a relatively uncommon mononeuropathy. It is easily confused with other disorders such as lumbosacral radiculopathies, plexopathies, or peroneal or tibial mononeuropathies. Usually, sciatic mononeuropathy is diagnosed by an electrodiagnostic study (EDX) with or without imaging studies. Neuromuscular ultrasound is an efficient diagnostic tool that can provide dynamic structural information in real time. It can be a useful complementary tool to EDX.
