Änderung 1: Besonderheiten in der Diagnostik
Begründung: Der HbA1c-Wert wird zur Diabetesdiagnose, zur Identifizierung von Personen mit erhöhtem Diabetesrisiko und zur Bewertung der Diabeteseinstellung verwendet. Bei Eingewanderten und ihren Nachkommen können verschiedene Veränderungen den HbA1c-Wert beeinflussen oder verfälschen. Dadurch kann es im klinischen Alltag zu Fehlinterpretationen in der Diabetesdiagnose und eventuell zu falschen Therapieentscheidungen kommen.

Änderung 2: Besonderheiten in der Therapie
Begründung: Es gibt Hinweise darauf, dass sich die Therapie abhängig von der kulturellen Zugehörigkeit unterscheidet. Trotz vorhandener neuer Diabetestherapeutika mit nachgewiesenen Effekten auf verschiedene Diabetesendpunkte ist deren Einsatz nicht in allen geografischen Regionen und Bevölkerungsgruppen gleich.

Begründung: Inwieweit spielt die Ethnizität bei den interindividuellen Wirkungsunterschieden verschiedener Diabetestherapeutika eine Rolle?
