Occlusion of the Small Saphenous Vein by Myofibromas in Localized Scleroderma
Abstract
We report a rare case of a 20-year-old patient with bilateral myofibromas of the small saphenous veins and varicose veins. In terms of differential diagnosis, the myofibromas sonographically resembled embedded thrombus material. The patient was known to have circumscribed scleroderma as a secondary diagnosis. The disease myofibroma is explained and possible links between the diseases are discussed.
