Bioactive Molecules - via - Baylis-Hillman Chemistry

Abstract Baylis-Hillman chemistry is applied to make variety of new chemical entities for the purpose of evaluating them towards their bioactivity. Various substances synthesized via BH chemistry are subjected towards (i) antimalarial; (ii) anti-inflammatory; (iii) antidiabetic; (iv) antimicrobial; (v) anti tubercular; (vi) phosphodiesterase inhibitors; and (vii) anticancer activities. Couple of instances animal model and biology studies explored. Several hits and lead molecules are identified and their IC50 values listed. The simplicity of Baylis-Hillman chemistry provides a realistic evaluation towards pharma industries. The work presented on this subject will definitely have an impact over pharmaceutical companies.
